Shikha earned an MS in Life Sciences from Jawaharlal Nehru University (New Delhi, India) and her PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. In the Lawrenz Lab, she investigates how Yersinia pestis modulates the innate immune system to persist and mediate inflammation within the host. Outside the lab, she enjoys music, dancing, and spending quality time with family and friends.
