Kaitlyn’s project will be the first to define the:

  1. role of prostaglandins in Y. pestis infection.

  2. interaction between mast cells and Y. pestis.

Her work will provide new understanding of how Y. pestis establishes a non-inflammatory environment and may offer broader insight into the role of inflammatory lipids during infection by other bacteria.

Congratulations, Kaitlyn!
