Caleb Whitley, PhD


Caleb earned a BS in Biological Science from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. His research interest is adaptative immunology, centered on B cell responses to immunization. In the Lawrenz lab, he investigates the mechanisms of vaccine-mediated protection against lethal pneumonic plague caused by Yersinia pestis lung infection. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports and TV shows, cooking, and spending time with family.
